Maf's artwork has been selected multiple times for the Asia Illustration Awards and has been exhibited in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan, and Malaysia. She has participated in various projects with organizations such as The Hong Kong Society of Illustrators, Sun Hung Kai Properties, Greenpeace, Warner Bros. and Wacom. Her illustrations and animation works have been displayed in venues ranging from the Central Market and PMQ to the large screens by the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. Maf has also collaborated with a Japanese winery to release a premium Junmai Daiginjo sake.
Hong Kong Giant Animal Series
Hong Kong Giant Animal Series originated from a humorous expression made by a friend's pet cat. Maf imagined how it would be amusing if oversized animals appeared in the Hong Kong environment, and this inspired her to start a creative series. Drawing from her understanding of animal characteristics and their relationship to specific locations, along with her imagination, the changing seasons, and current events, she began creating works that explore the coexistence of humans and animals. Through these works, she quietly captures and records the changes of Hong Kong in her own unique way.
In March 2022, Maf began the "Giant Animal Series in Hong Kong." Within six months, she completed a mural in collaboration with Link REIT at the Tai Po Tai Yuan Street Market and launched two rounds of clothing illustration designs with Ginger.
In the first year, Maf co-hosted an exhibition with Greenpeace at PMQ, raising awareness about ocean conservation. She also collaborated with CUP Media to release a personal art book, which was sold at the Hong Kong Book Fair.
With almost 100 pieces of HK Series, other country like Taiwan is on the road too.
Except the general series, Year of the Animal is another collection in Giant Animal Series.
